Course Description:
In an increasingly global marketplace clients are demanding greater protection with their patents while requiring this be done with decreased cost. Unfortunately, the divergent requirements in different countries can be at odds with the desire for a one-size-fits-all approach to patent drafting. We will consider different drafting considerations for Japan, US and Europe in general. We also explore the impact of filing strategies on drafting a patent.
